Jérémie Schütz studied operatic singing at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne with Hiroko Kawamichi, and then at the prestigious Accademia Teatro alla Scala.

In 2014, he won both the “Prix de la Mélodie” and the “Young Talent Award” at the International Autumn Symphonies Competition in Mâcon. He has also been awarded several competitive scholarships, including the “Migros Culture Percentage,” the “Colette Mosetti Scholarship,” and the “Weltner Stiftung.”

Jérémie Schütz is primarily dedicated to the operatic repertoire. He made his debut in 2015 at the Grand Théâtre de Genève in the role of Rodolphe in Rossini’s Guillaume Tell. He also sang the role of Hélénus in Les Troyens by Berlioz at the same venue.

In past seasons, he performed as Major Raflafla in Mesdames de la Halle (Offenbach) at the Opéra National de Lyon, Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi (Puccini) at the Opéra National de Lorraine, Pedrillo in Il Ratto dal Serraglio per i bambini (Mozart) at La Scala, and Giuseppe in La Traviata (Verdi) alongside Anna Netrebko and Leo Nucci, as well as Lehrbube in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg (Wagner).

More recently, he has portrayed Don José in Carmen (Bizet) at the Opéra National de Bordeaux, Mario Cavaradossi in Tosca at the Staatstheater Cottbus, Theater Erfurt, Opéra du Rhône, and BFM in Geneva; Jacopo Foscari in I due Foscari (Verdi) at the Opéra de St-Moritz; and he has served as a cover for the title role in Werther at the Greek National Opera in Athens alongside Anita Rachvelishvili, and for the role of Hoffmann in Les Contes d’Hoffmann (Offenbach) at the Opéra National de Bordeaux.

He has sung under the baton of prestigious conductors such as Marc Minkowski, Jesús López Cobos, Charles Dutoit, Michael Balke, Nello Santi, Daniele Gatti, among many others.
